I Couldn’t Allow Myself  To Get In The Way, Anymore.

    October 1, 2018 /

I have been in church my whole life. I grew up in a Pentecostal home and I have continued with that faith. There’s something that people might not understand though. Just because someone grew up in a church and lived in a pastor’s home, does not mean that everything was fine and dandy with their personal, spiritual relationship with Jesus.

5 Easy Steps For The Woman Who Worries About What Others Think

    June 18, 2018 /

Have you ever wanted to start a project, or wear a certain dress, or even go to the beach, but then stopped? Have you ever wanted to share a certain experience, a selfie, or even start a business, but then you stopped? In the past, the reason I didn’t wear that dress, post that picture, or start this blog sooner was because I worried what people would say. One of the things I was worried about was that people will make fun of my sentence structures and I lowkey felt like I would never be good enough on this blogging thing.

Getting married soon: 3 simple things to remember

    May 14, 2018 /

In honor of today being me and my sweet Nate’s one year anniversary. We thought we would focus on three things that we learned before marriage and was able to try to implement them into our first year of marriage. Within the six months before we were married we did all kinds of things. We planned the wedding, we did marriage counseling, we read a few books about marriage, and listened to many men and women about their marriage experiences.

5 Ways to See Singleness As Beautiful

    April 4, 2018 /

A few months ago I was driving from work and listening to the radio the song “Tell me you love me” by Demi Lovato was playing. I was hyped and enjoying the song and I was like yassss Demi girl sing it. But then the song went to this line where it said “you ain’t nobody till you got somebody.” Instantly I was offended, I was very taken back by the words and slowly I realized that there are so many people out there who are listening to these types of songs. These “types” of songs tell people over and over again that they need to have someone to matter,…

5 Ways To Keep Your Friendships Growing And Thriving.

    March 24, 2018 /

When we are born we have our parents, possibly siblings, and they are our brother, or sister, and hopefully our friend. We learn, grow, and change by having parents and siblings. By the time we are in our early teens, we are shaped by the peers around us. We soon realize that even though our parents are great and that our siblings are equally as amazing we still want more, so that’s where friendships outside the family comes in.

10 Things I Have Learned About Friendships in my 20s

    March 7, 2018 /

Talking to people, and getting to know them is pretty simple for me. What can I say, I am a people person. But for the longest time, I was not good with building friendships. I lost a lot of friendships the first 2-3 years of my college life. One of the main reasons of why I lost those people was because I didn’t know myself. I didn’t know my heart and all the hurt and pain it carried around. By the time the Lord opened my eyes, most of those friendships had fallen apart.

  • ✨From My mini guide: Adventurous Ways to Encounter God: COFFEE Date

There is so much beauty of grabbing your bible, your journal, and a cup full of hope and expectation and head to a coffee shop. .
.
.
You’re probably thinking, “umm Winnie I have already been to all the coffee shops in my town.” I know, but hear me out! This time it will be different, this time you will go with a purpose of spending time with Jesus and hearing His voice .

.
Here is a few questions to reflect on while you are at the coffee shop:
1) Daddy what do you think about me?
2) What do you have for me today?
3)What should I be focusing on?
.
.

Wait and listen for His answer with quiet intent. You will know it is Him if the words reflect the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23

  • 💫 RAW and REAL//
In the Old Testament people would follow directions and instructions given to them by prophets from the heavenly father. .
.
Fast forward, in the New Testament Jesus died for our sins. The nails did not keep him on the cross, his LOVE for us did. Because of him we have the Holy Spirit. Because of him our relationship with the father is restored. .
.
Through his death we were set free, through his death we were reconciled back to the father. Our relationship was restored, and now we can have an intimate relationship with the father like he created it to be in the beginning. .
.
Because of Jesus.... we are free, set apart, chosen, redeemed, rescued, restored, made whole, made new, made enough. .
.
Because of Jesus.... I WINNIE Is full of joy, freedom, peace, confidence in WHO the Lord has called me to be and WHOM I belong too. Because of Jesus.... I am loved, cared for, and cherished beyond any human affection I can ever have. .
.
Because of JESUS.... I know I don’t have to walk through life alone, I don’t have to make decisions by myself. Because I know his spirit lives within me to guide, direct, rebuke and correct me to Look more like him everyday. .
.
Because of JESUS.... I know my identity, my purpose, and my calling. .
.
Because of JESUS.... I have learned that “I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5. .
.
What is your “ because of JESUS”?

Meet Nathan Warner, he is crazy smart and recklessly in love with people( I low key think he loves me more though😍) He provides in the most crazy ways. He Makes me breakfast, washes my clothes, cleans the house and dishes, takes out trash, prays for me, puts gas in my car, organizes my clothes in the closet, gets me plants, prays for me and so much more. •
•

I don’t know if there are many guys out there who does this for their wives, but I know this guy does these things for me. I am learning a whole new meaning about men providing. It doesn’t mean just working and bring home a check, there is so much more to it. •
•

The Lord is absolutely breaking down walls with this new generation and helping us love each other wholistic. I have never met someone who serves others so well. Nathan is such a servant it’s crazy. He loves so deep, so raw and so intimately. •
•

So if you see Nathan around encourage him and speak life to him. Also get to know him, he makes an amazing friend, I know he has to me. •
•
What is something awesome your PERSON does that make’s you happy?✨
  • 💫#tbt Last summer we went to Brazil for a mission trip. It was amazing. .

  • 💫LIFE IS PRECIOUS. You are precious, valued, important, loved, cared for, desired, and needed.
.
.
You were/are created with purpose. You were/are meant to impact lives, uplift, build up, and encourage people. .
.
Psalm 139 paints this picture of you being knitted together, your life planned way before your parents decided to have you. You were not hidden from God, but instead he saw you and still sees you today. .
.
This new law that was passed or in the process of being passed in New York is threatening so many babies’ lives. Those babies are not mistakes, oopsies, or accidents. But instead they were created by LOVE HIMSELF. They have an identity, plan, purpose and unique talents already placed in them by the Lord. Why would we man kind decided to take that away. .
.
There’s so much I can say. I just love people and babies. I believe that human life is not something to kill just because some people got together wrote a some words on a piece of paper and decided it’s a law. We have a VOICE, let’s fight for this babies. .
.
Above everything here on earth LIFE IS PRECIOUS! .
.
.
What are your thoughts about this new law?
